OK, I don't know about you but I think this is pretty clever marketing!

Arthur Tweedie is a water critic, but he seems like a pretty bad one - if it's not PUR water, it gets no stars! One might think he is a paid spokesperson.... hmmmm.   :-)



I'm a big fan of filtered water because we have kinda hard, mineralized water at my house. My husband says he can really taste the difference between our tap water and filtered water! I think a faucet filter will be one of our next purchases, and I think PUR is the obvious choice!

Find It At Target Spring Preview - Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Hair Healer Leave-In Conditioner

I was so thrilled to be chosen for my FOURTH Vox Box since I joined Influenster in September - the Find It At Target Spring Preview!

I got a bottle of Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Hair Healer Leave-In Conditioner.

I really like the smell of the product - it's got a really nice orange/citrus scent that stays on my hair all day.

The texture was thicker than i expected, but it was easy to distribute through my hair. 

I have curly/wavy hair that tangles really easily, and I've never really found a product that helped with keeping my hair tangle free all day. This leave-in helped a lot with de-tangling my hair after washing, and although my hair still got tangles as the day went on, it did work better than other products I've tried! 

I didn't like the way the product felt on my hands after putting it in my hair, but a quick wash solved that problem.

I found that my hair felt soft and shiny, less frizzy and less tangled after I used this leave-in. And I'm happy to see that it's not very expensive - just $8-$10 at Target (depending on sales).

I will definitely be picking up another bottle when mine runs out!

I loved my Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask! #powerofplants

I used to be a clay mask fanatic, until CVS stopped carrying my favorite brand. I tried a few new masks, but never found one that I liked much.

THEN I got my J'adore Vox Box from Influenster!! One of the items was a bottle of Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask, and I was really excited to try it.

I pulled off the protective seal, and flipped the bottle over, and.... SPLASH! A whole bunch of clay mask ended up in my sink! I was so shocked I didn't even take a photo. I was expecting the mask to be thick and... clay like, but it was very watery. This didn't turn out to be a bad thing in the end, but it did make a mess!

After I cleaned up, I tried again... this time more carefully. Even with the watery consistency, the mask went a long way, and I was able to do my whole face with about 2 quarter sized squirts.

As the mask dried, I got that familiar tight feeling - it was working!

After 10 minutes, I was ready to wash the mask off... except the bottle said to wipe it off with tissues.
Yeah, there was no way that was going to work, although I did try it. I even tried a damp paper towel, but I figured that would just irritate my skin, and un-do all the benefits of the mask!

So I washed off with water and WOW! My skin was smooth and soft, and felt firm to the touch. My pores were smaller, too!

I'm definitely adding this mask to my weekly routine! Thanks, Influenster and Boots Beauty!

Dove Advanced Care

I was really excited to qualify for my second Vox Box from Influenster - The new Dove Advanced Care deodorant! I already use Dove deodorant so I was excited to try out this new product!


I've got to admit, I have a hard time getting going in the morning, and I don't have problems with body odor except in the super hot summertime, so I don't have a great deodorant habit. But even with sporadic use, I'm a total Dove Advanced Care convert!

First, I love how smooth the product goes on - even after a few days of not shaving (It's OK, it's winter!!) There was no clumping or white residue, and even after the first application, my skin felt soft and moisturized.

I recently went to Hawaii, where it was hot and humid, and my Advanced Care deodorant performed like a champ, keeping me sweat and stink free! So now I know it will serve me well as it starts getting hot!

I'm a big fan of Dove's Cucumber and Green Tea scent, so I'll be picking up some of that scent as soon as my current deodorant runs out!

Pass the Puffs!

I always have a little pack of tissues in my purse - you never know when allergies will strike! I used to get the cheapest generic tissues i could find - but NOT ANYMORE!

I LOVE Puffs To-Go!

I've avoided tissues with lotion in the past, because they made my nose feel... slimy. There was something about that that made my prefer the whole red-nose look when i had a cold. I don't know if Puffs changed their formula or what, but these tissues DO NOT have the slime factor at all.

And the packaging is so cute! The bright colors make the pack easy to find in my purse. Another bonus is that the plastic wrapping and the sticker to re-seal the pack are strong - which keeps the unused tissues from getting soiled.

The best part - the price! To me it's worth 50 cents to know I'll never be caught with the sniffles!

HD Color Trio

OK, I must admit - I LOVE eyeshadow. I have about 25 different colors... but I tend to be a "one-color-on-my-eyelid-and-that's-it" kinda girl. What can I say - I don't have much time to fuss with makeup in the morning - i like sleeping!!

I was really excited to get the Long Beach Sands HD Color Trio palette from NYC in my Jolly Vox Box. Most of my shadows are bold and bright, and certainly not mixable, so having three neutral colors in the same box that already go together was exciting.

I loved how easy they shadow went on... but that tiny brush was worthless. I guess it would be great for a touch-up on the go, but I immediately switched to a larger brush. The shadow was almost creamy, and blended really well. It lasted a long time, too, even without eye shadow primer.

The neutral color combo was great - perfect for work, and the diagram of how to apply the three colors was a great reference for make-up simpletons (like me). Overall, I'd say these eye shadows are fantastic, and definitely a great value!

I'm looking forward to trying out other color combinations - maybe The Liberty Lilacs or Concrete Jungle!
