Silkn Flash&Go Express Review!

Ok, I'll admit it - I have annoying hair on my chin and upper lip. Actually, admitting it is silly, since anyone who looks closely can see the hair... genetics suck, amirite?

I decided since Thanksgiving was coming up and things were insane, that I would focusing my chin and upper lip first.

I read the instructions carefully, and on my first treatment, I followed instructions and zapped myself on level 1. It took less than 5 minutes to treat my whole face (once i got the hang of it)! There was a slowing in growth for about 2 days, but then the hair started growing back at the same speed as before. :-(

All my subsequent treatments have been at level 5, and I've seen a significant slowing in growth, but none of the hair is gone (from falling out or stopping growing.) I may just be one of those people that needs more treatments, so I'm going to keep at it. And hey, slower growth is definitely worth the TINY amount of time it takes to use this product every 2 weeks!

I'm looking forward to trying this out on my legs and underarms - the hair there is less thick so maybe I'll see some 'removal' in those areas!

Infusium 23 Moisture Replenisher Leave-in Smoothing Crème

I'll admit - I don't often put products in my hair... I have fine, thin hair that gets oily or greasy easily. So many products weigh my hair down making it look stringy, greasy, or frizzy. yuck!

I am super happy to say that the Infusium 23 Moisture Replenisher Leave-in Smoothing Crème enhanced with Avocado and Olive Oil that I got (free to try!!) in my Influenster Sunshine Vox Box doesn't cause any of these problems!

As soon as I received my Vox Box, I started using this product every day. I'll put a quarter sized amount on the ends of my hair every morning while damp, and then I use whatever is left ton my palms to smooth flyaways on the top of my head.

I've definitely noticed a difference in the feel of my hair! That crackly, straw-like texture is gone, replaced with soft and smooth ends.

BONUS LEVEL - I have curly/wavy hair that just looks blah unless I put some sort of product in it to hold the curl (which I don't usually do because of the grease factor...), but the Infusium Leave-in Smoothing Crème actually enhances my curls and makes them look amazing!

I will absolutely be adding Infusium 23 Moisture Replenisher Leave-in Smoothing Crème to my morning routine!

We have 2 cats - Buster and Jasmine. Jasmine had no interest in the Snacky Mouse AT ALL. She batted at it once or twice then walked away. Buster, however, LOVES it!! When he sees me pick the Snacky Mouse up off the floor, he chases me around while I fill it with treats. He loves knocking it around to get all the treats out of it AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.

In fact, that is my only complaint about the Snacky Mouse - with 3 large openings, it means a play session only lasts 2-3 minutes. It's WAY too easy to get the treats out - 2-4 treats come out each time he bats at the toy! I will probably figure out a way to block 2 of the holes so he can enjoy the toy for a bit longer, because I'm not refilling it with treats when he's done!!! :P

 The treats themselves are great, and my cats LOVE them! They are both picky eaters, and have turned their nose up at other treats, but LOVE the Temptations. I'm sure once I run out, I'll be stocking up on them again!

Rimmel London - Good and Bad

I got two products from Rimmel London free to try in my Influenster Frosty Voxbox!

First, the good - Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
I loooooove this stuff. I hate oily eye makeup remover, and this is like using water. It takes more than one application to remove my eye makeup, but it really gets everything off - no little bits of mascara left under your eyes giving you the raccoon look!It's also great for fixing mistakes when you're putting your makeup on - a little bit on a cotton swab will do a great job of getting of that smudge of eyeliner that went the wrong way, or the mascara or loose eye shadow that ends up under your eyes.
This is going to be my new regular eye makeup remover.
Also, I wish it came in a SMALLER size bottle as well - 4.2 oz is too big to go in my carry on bag when I travel!

Now, the bad - Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner
I wanted to like this stuff, I really did! However, after trying it, it really did not work well at all.
I tested it against my current eye pencil - The Rimmel Eyeliner is on the top.

LEFT: basic application. The Rimmel eyeliner is darker, but didn't apply as smoothly and didn't fill in all the creases like my current pencil.
RIGHT: After a drop of water and a smudge of my thumb - The Rimmel promise of waterproof and smudgeproof eyeliner stands up!

But there were more problems - when applying the eyeliner to my hand (and later, my eyes), big chunks balled up on the tip of the pencil and fell off. Not good!

When I tried to apply the eyeliner to my actual eye, it did not glide smoothly and instead tugged and skipped over my skin. After three tries, this is what I had on my eye:

I could have kept trying, but who has that much time to apply eyeliner?!? Not me.

I won't be using this product again - I'll stick with my current $1 eyeliner from the brand I've been using since high school - it may not be waterproof but it's easier to apply!

Celestial Seasonings Taste Test!

Okay, I am *so* not a tea person! I've tried many different kinds, and they all just taste kinda like hot water to me. However, my husband loves tea, so he agreed to try the Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea that i got free to try in my Frosty Vox Box from Influenster!

The teabag had a lovely scent! Very peppermint-y! We steeped the tea for a little longer than the reccomended 3 minutes (oops!), and here is what he thought:

"Overall, I like it! The candy cane flavor stands out, but I also taste some eucalyptus. It's a darker, full bodied tea, and it doesn't have the standard green tea flavor. I notice a bit of a licorice aftertaste. It's very soothing, I think it would be great to drink while you're sick. I would definitely buy this tea!"

Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED

OK, this is a hard review to write!

I got a sample of Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED serum free to try in my Frosty Vox Box from Influenster. The description of the product says, "After 2 weeks, skin looks younger; by 4 weeks, deep lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced. Results keep getting better with continued use." 

However, the sample I received was very small - I only got 4 uses out of it. Using it morning and night, as recommended, that means I was only able to use the product for 2 days - not long enough to see any visible changes in my skin.

Because of this, I don't feel like I am really able to comment on the product's main selling point: the anti-aging properties!  Influenster, I hope next time you include a product like this in a Vox Box you can convince the company to provide more product, as it's pretty darn hard to write a thorough review on an anti aging product after just 2 days use.

Based on my limited use, I can say this. At first, I thought the serum didn't smell too good, it had a strong scent that I couldn't quite Identify. However, about 5 minutes after putting it on my face, the scent mellowed out. I love the way it made my skin feel - moisturized and soft. It also helped minimize a few dry patches on my cheeks and forehead.

This tiny sample wasn't enough to get my to buy more of the product - even with the coupon enclosed.... but maybe when I run out of my current night serum I'll give it a go.
